Membership

Membership at Lagoon Sports Club is open exclusively to adult men who value community, wellness, discipline, and a refined sporting environment. The club provides an atmosphere tailored to mature professionals seeking a private, structured, and premium recreational experience.

Lagoon Sports Club is committed to maintaining high standards in sports, social relations, and community leadership. Membership is carefully structured and governed to ensure the club remains a respectable and well-organized institution for all members.

Individual Membership

The club operates a single membership category — Individual Membership. This category is reserved for adult men who meet the club’s eligibility criteria and are committed to upholding the values and standards of Lagoon Sports Club.

Individual members enjoy full access to all approved sports facilities, wellness programs, social gatherings, tournaments, and exclusive club events. Members are encouraged to participate actively in both sporting and community-building activities throughout the year.

The club does not offer youth or family membership categories. Lagoon Sports Club is strictly structured for mature men, creating an environment built on respect, discipline, and shared values.

Joining Procedure

  1. Payment of Joining Fee
    The prospective member is required to make a deposit or complete payment of the club’s joining fee.
  2. Collection and Completion of Membership Form
    The Club Secretary or any member of the Screening Committee will provide the prospective member with either an electronic form or a hard copy, depending on which is more convenient.
  3. Submission of Form and Identification
    The completed form should be submitted to the Club Secretary along with a valid means of identification issued or recognised by the Federal Government, such as a NIN slip/card, International Passport, or Driver’s Licence.
  4. Screening Process
    The completed application form will then be forwarded to the Screening Committee for review and screening.
  5. Admission into the Club
    Once the Screening Committee is satisfied with the application and the prospective member successfully completes the screening process, the applicant will be formally admitted into Lagoon Sports Club as a member.
  6. Issuance of the Club Constitution
    Upon admission, the new member will be provided with a copy of the Lagoon Sports Club Constitution for familiarisation with the club’s rules, regulations, structure and guiding principles.

Member Responsibilities

Members of Lagoon Sports Club are expected to uphold high standards of behaviour, sportsmanship, and respect toward fellow members and staff. This ensures that the club remains a safe, organized, and enjoyable environment for all.

  • Maintain discipline and decorum at all times within the club.
  • Participate responsibly in sports and recreational activities.
  • Adhere to all club rules, guidelines, and membership policies.
  • Treat facilities, equipment, and staff with respect.
  • Contribute positively to the club’s social environment.
